Renewed Tank Destroyer TEBER
The TEBER-II 30/40 two-man turret, tank destroyer developed by FMC-NUROL Defense Industries (FNSS), one of Turkey’s leading military vehicle manufacturers, has been renewed. According to the statements made by FMC-NUROL Defense Industries (FNSS), the TEBER-II 30/40 two-man turret is offered in two different configurations as a medium-caliber turret that can be integrated into wheeled and tracked armored vehicles. In the two-man conventional configuration, the commander and gunner are positioned inside the turret basket. In cases where the vehicle commander continues his duty inside the vehicle, the two-man turret type is generally considered to be more advantageous. Although the height and weight of the turret are considered to be disadvantages in manned turrets, two-man turrets provide a significant advantage to the vehicle commander when situational awareness, firepower effectiveness, and effective control of the battlefield are taken into consideration. Since communication between the gunner and commander is provided more effectively in two-man turrets, the commander can direct the gunner more accurately and more effectively. The TEBER-II 30/40 two-man turret features the latest technologies in the fields of propulsion system, fire control, survivability and firepower. Thanks to the sensors and other electronic systems on the turret, it can operate day and night, in all weather conditions and in combat environments. Both the gunner and the commander can control all functions of the turret. In addition, thanks to the manual backup system, the gunner can aim with the weapon's backup optical sight and, in emergency situations, can manually direct and fire the turret in the traverse and elevation axes. Two Anti-Tank Missile (ATGM) systems are integrated on each side of the turret. Depending on user requirements, various modern armor-piercing systems such as Laser Guided TAS Missile (SACLOS) and Infrared Imaging Seeker (ACLOS) can be integrated into the modular ATGM launcher of the turret. The two ATGM launchers can also be operated separately. This offers the user the opportunity to upgrade to different angles to meet the requirements of the most common ATGM missiles on the market. The secondary equipment equipment consists of a 7.62 mm machine gun and 1200 ready-to-fire ammunition.
