Tracked Armored Combat Vehicle ACV-15
ZMA-15s have a platform design that allows them to perform all kinds of missions by integrating different subsystems. The Improved Armored Personnel Carrier (AGPC) chassis is the base vehicle version of all vehicles in the ZMA-15 class. ZMA-15s are tracked (5-wheel), light, low-silhouette armored vehicles capable of high-speed movement in desert conditions, muddy/rough terrain, asphalt or stabilized roads. Entry and exit to the vehicle are provided via the hydraulic ramp at the rear or the personnel door on the ramp. On the top; there is a wide squad hatch and driver, commander and gunner hatches. Maintenance and repair of the power pack is carried out through the hatches in the vehicle that provide access to the engine cabin and at the front. Two armored fuel tanks, isolated from the vehicle interior and separated by armor plates, are located at the rear of the vehicle for weight balance and personnel safety. The body of the ZMA-15 is manufactured from ballistic aluminum plates, assembled using aluminum welding techniques. Plate thicknesses are changed according to ballistic requirements in different body planes. The body is watertight and the covers and plugs are watertight sealed. The power pack cabin and the driver and commander areas use approximately half of the volume at the front of the vehicle, while the gunner's area is located in the right middle section. At the rear, there is an 8-person personnel (Squad) section. There are 5 firing ports on the right, left and rear of the squad section, which allow firing from inside the vehicle to the outside. There are laser-protected glass periscopes that allow the commander, gunner, driver and personnel to watch outside from inside the vehicle and have all-round visibility. Integrated night vision systems that allow the driver to use the vehicle in the dark can be provided upon request. ZMA-15s serve in the inventories of the Turkish Armed Forces and many armies around the world.
