AKINCI ZMAs have a platform design that allows them to perform all kinds of missions by integrating different subsystems. AKINCI ZMA; It is an advanced version of ZMA-15 that has 90% common subsystem and spare parts with all vehicles in its ZMA class.
The main differences between the ZMA-15 and the AKINCI ZMA can be listed as; first of all, extended hull (6 road wheels), reinforced speed reducers, more internal volume under armor and more load carrying capacity. AKINCI ZMA; While providing the opportunity to carry heavier equipment systems such as 90/105 mm turrets or 120 mm mortar systems and their ammunition, just like the ZMA-15, it does not compromise on mobility and armor protection.
AKINCI ZMAs are tracked, medium-class, low-silhouette armored vehicles capable of high-speed movement in desert conditions, muddy/rough terrain, asphalt or stabilized roads. Entry and exit to the vehicle are provided via the hydraulic ramp at the rear or the personnel door on the ramp. On the top, there is a wide squad hatch and driver, commander and gunner hatches.
Maintenance and repair of the power pack is done through hatches inside the vehicle providing access to the cabin and at the front. Two armored fuel tanks, isolated from the inside of the vehicle and separated by armor plate, are located at the rear of the vehicle for weight balance and personnel safety.
