Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir
The Bahrain Grand Prix has been held in Sakhir since September 4, 2004 and is the first Formula 1 race to be held in the Middle East. The 5.4 km long track was designed by Hermann Tilke for night racing. The first race held on this track was won by German driver Michael Schumacher. The highlight of the track, which can accommodate 70,000 people, is the extremely sharp 10th corner, which is a challenge for drivers. One of the most criticized points of the track is that the edges of the track are very wide, making it difficult to penalize drivers who cannot grip the road.
