The Competition Authority imposed a fine of 1.3 billion TL on BİM for obstructing on-site inspection.
The Competition Authority’s on-site inspection authority is one of the primary tools used to reveal whether the Law has been violated. The effective and efficient use of this authority is extremely important for the establishment of competition. In the event that on-site inspection is prevented or made difficult, the relevant company is imposed an administrative fine of five per thousand of its turnover.
