Hashdex has received authorization from the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) to launch an XRP spot ETF in Brazil. It is the world’s first exchange-traded fund to use the native token of the blockchain created by Ripple as an investment asset.
According to the information on the CVM website, the HASHDEX NASDAQ XRP INDEX FUND was established on December 10 of last year and is in the pre-operational phase. The manager is the stockbroker Genial Investimentos, and an additional document with more details is not yet available.
Hashdex confirmed to Portal do Bitcoin that the XRP ETF was approved by the CVM and said that there is no official date yet for the product to be launched in B3, but that it will "publish more information about the start of operations soon."
