The copayment in hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health, which are classified as tertiary hospitals by the Ministry of Health, has been reduced from 45 TL to 20 TL. Similarly, the copayment in state/foundation university hospitals with dentistry faculties, in health practice and research centers of state universities with medical faculties, and in health practice and research centers of foundation universities with medical faculties has become 20 TL.
The copayment in second and third level private healthcare service providers has remained at 50 TL.
The co-payment to be applied for physician and dentist examinations performed by family physicians who have signed contracts, been assigned or authorized by the Ministry of Health and who are referred to health service providers will be collected by reducing it by 50 percent.
