After The Times published a document revealing that Kenize Murad was a CIA informant, Kenize Murad made a statement:
"In 1973, I received an offer from a US diplomat to work for the CIA.
At first, I accepted, thinking 'I'll say I'm giving up later and then write a story about how the CIA hired left-wing journalists.'
Then I got scared and gave up. It's a bureaucratic mistake that I appear to have worked for 6 years."
