President of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün stated that the first Altay tanks to be released from mass production will be delivered this year, and that a total of 85 tanks will be delivered by 2028. Görgün inspected the BMC Ankara armored vehicle production facility in the Kahramankazan district and received information from the authorities.
President of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün said, "The Altay tank project we are conducting is a high-tech platform that is eagerly awaited. Approximately 600+ companies are working on this platform. Of course, companies such as ASELSAN, ROKETSAN and HAVELSAN are working together with our main contractor BMC. After delivering 3 tanks in 2025, we will deliver 11 next year, then 41 and 30 the following year, totaling 85 vehicles."
