
The Russian Ministry of Finance announced in a written statement that the country's budget revenues increased by 6.3 percent in the first two months of the year compared to the same period last year , reaching 5.3 trillion rubles. The statement noted that budget expenditures increased by 30.5 percent to 8 trillion rubles during the period, and that the budget deficit increased by 145 percent to 2.7 trillion rubles. The statement noted that non-oil and natural gas revenues amounted to 3.8 trillion rubles, while oil and natural gas revenues amounted to 1.5 trillion rubles.
The statement, which stated that the budget deficit-to-GDP ratio was at 1.7 percent, underlined that the plan was to reduce the ratio in question to 0.5 percent by the end of 2025 in accordance with budget rules.
